- Emma Hollis, CEO of NASBTT.

Hear from Emma Hollis, CEO of NASBTT, about her experience setting up The Electric Car Scheme and what she thought of the process of getting her own EV through the scheme.

“At the National Association of School-Based Teacher Training, we want to offer employee benefits that not only add value but also have a real, positive impact on our employees’ lives. The Electric Car Scheme is a great example of this. For many, electric cars are still seen as too expensive because of their high upfront costs, and Government grants can be confusing. The scheme makes it easy for our employees to access EV salary sacrifice, helping them get into an electric vehicle at an affordable price while making their commute more sustainable.

We want our employees to feel engaged and valued at work, and offering something like an EV salary sacrifice scheme helps achieve that. It also shows our commitment to sustainability as a company, which is really important in today’s world as everyone looks to do their part.

One large positive is that the savings are excellent, with employees able to save 30-60% on the cost of a new or used electric car. I was able to lease a Hyundai Ioniq through the scheme, and having insurance included in the price meant I saved even more. The process of ordering the car was really simple, and my EV Specialist was there to help along the way.”
