Our Journey So Far
The Past
In 2020, The Electric Car Scheme was founded by Thom Groot & Tom Eilon when they tried to buy an electric car via the government tax incentives that were available. The pair quickly discovered they were hard to access, in particular for smaller business and their employees.
As such, The Electric Car Scheme was created to offer any business (small, medium or large) and its employees access to these incentives.
The Present
In 2021, The Electric Car Scheme launched, and over 100 businesses signed up to the pilot. This quickly got the attention of investors, who backed The Electric Car Scheme to grow as fast as possible.
Today, the team has grown to nearly 90 people, more than 200,000 employees joined the scheme, and we recently moved into a brand new office at The Shipping Building in Hayes, London.
